July 2025

Alex has been sent to Coventry! No, not really "sent", but we must announce that our much-respected colleague, Alex Pretty, will be leaving us as he relocates and embarks on an exciting new career opportunity.

Alex is an exceptional saxophonist and has been a true asset to the band. His distinctive, edgy style and musical energy will be deeply missed. We are incredibly grateful for his years of dedication and contribution — he leaves a legacy that will be hard to replace.
We’re pleased to know that Alex may be available for the occasional guest appearance in the future, and we’ll look forward very much to those moments.
We wish him every success in his new venture and all the best in the exciting journey ahead.

March 2025

We are delighted to announce that, following a well-received guest appearance with the band in February, renowned Staffordshire jazz and swing singer Jack Graeme has agreed to join us as our resident vocalist. With his wealth of experience, Jack is a fantastic addition to the band, and we look forward to the exciting performances ahead.

December 2024

It is with a mixture of gratitude and sadness that we announce the retirement of our beloved resident vocalist, Jon Haywood.
Jon has decided to step away, and while we will greatly miss his extraordinary talent, passion, and the countless memories we've shared on and off the stage, we fully support his decision.
His contribution to the band over the years has been immeasurable — not only in music, but in spirit, camaraderie, and heart. Thank you, Jon, for everything. You leave behind a legacy that will always be part of who we are.

January 2023

It is with great regret to inform you that our friend and fellow bandsman Robert "Bob" Hulland, sadly passed away on Monday 9th January 2023 following complications after a fall.

A superb Tenor Sax player who will be truly missed by us all, not only for his sublime playing but also his great personality and his love of the Big Band sound.
